Moving `web-agent-presets` to the built lane took its coverage with it, and the
per-file gate named what it had been the only reach for: the session header's
`agentPreset` type check, and the preset subtree's `write()` override. Neither
belonged to a real-composition boot — a header validation case and a subtree
behaviour are package-level facts.
The `write()` test states why the override exists: the inherited method
persists the tree whenever the Loader thinks the config moved, and disposing an
agent disposes its subtree, so inheriting it truncates the shipped preset to
`[]` the first time a session ends.
The shipped host composition moved: `base.cordis.yml` and `web.cordis.yml`
are the dsh-base and dsh-web-app patch layers now. The gate still opened the
old paths and crashed on ENOENT — a gate that cannot read its inputs proves
nothing, loudly or otherwise.
Retargeting it also surfaced what the move implies for ownership: the web
bundle carries the roster and its browser plugin rows now, so the bundle's own
manifest is what must declare them. The gate's existing bare-plugin check said
so as soon as it could parse the file again.
Code Mode was a deployment-wide field on the host `tools` row: a
deployment ran every session that way or none. The obvious product
shape — 代码模式 beside 标准/极简/创造 in the preset picker — had
nothing to hang on.
The registry itself cannot move into a preset; the agent loop's
scheduler, the api-proxy's presenters, and every tool plugin are its
consumers. So split the registry from its projection: `presentAs(mode)`
writes one cell on the calling agent's scope layer, exactly as
`restrict()` does, and the three reads that decided presentation take
that scope's mode instead of the service's. The config `mode` becomes
the default agents shadow rather than a process-wide fact.
Two consequences are load-bearing. `run_code` now enters a view only
for scopes whose own mode presents it — a native agent must not find it
dispatchable because another agent in the process does — and the
reserved name holds whatever the configured mode, since any agent may
select a code mode later.
`dsh-agent-tool-mode` is the row a preset carries to declare this. A
code mode waits for the host's `codeRuntime` rather than assuming it,
so a runtime-less deployment fails the preset at mount, naming the
row, instead of at the session's first request.
The shipped `code` preset is `standard` plus that row, ordered second.
None of these change behavior; each said something that was not true.
`SessionCwdConflict`'s doc block had been left stranded above the
`AgentPresetConflict` inserted under it, so one class carried a comment
about the other and the second carried none.
The roster comment named a `.system` directory that does not exist; the
shipped root is `config/agent-presets/`, and `system` is the trust its
entries carry.
The real-composition test attributed the disabled `api-gateway` row to
"side effects outside this process" alongside the port and the exporter.
It is disabled for a different reason — the api-proxy cannot mount in
this layer at all — and hiding that behind the same phrase would leave a
later layer unable to tell whether the line can come out.
One test claimed to refuse an adoption while asserting only that the
header records the preset; it now says what it checks.
`PERSONA_SECTION`/`PERSONA_ORDER` existed twice, once in the registry
that declares the slot and once restated in the row that replaces it —
a drift that would land a preset's persona beside the deployment's
instead of shadowing it. The registry exports them now.
The preset conflict message read "already runs agent preset undefined"
for a session that records none, which is the shape a deployment with no
roster produces; it names that case instead, with the regression that
reaches it through the gateway.
Finally, `PresetTree.write()` drops the `loader/config-update` the
inherited method emits — recorded on the override, since a future
edit-while-running flow needs its own persistence path.
`session.create` takes an optional `agentPreset`, and the host resolves it,
mounts it during pre-publication setup, and records the resolved id on the
session header so a later resume rebuilds the same agent.
Resolution happens BEFORE the session exists, not inside setup: the session
boundary snapshots `meta` before asynchronous setup begins, so an id discovered
during setup could never reach the header. Mounting still happens in setup,
where a failure rolls the whole creation back rather than publishing a session
whose capabilities are half-installed.
Resume ignores whatever the request names and rebuilds from the stored id. A
resumed session's history was produced under that composition; restoring a
different one would replay tool calls the model can no longer make.
`dsh-agent-presets` now throws `UnknownPresetError` / `PresetMountError` so
the host can tell a bad request from a broken preset — they become
`agent-preset-not-found` and `agent-preset-invalid`.
Ships the two built-in compositions (`standard`, `core-web`) and the persona
row that lets them differ in identity. Nothing mounts them yet: no roster is
configured, so `composeAgent` finds no service and every session keeps the host
composition. Wiring the roster and moving base's agent-plane rows behind it is
the next commit, so the switch happens atomically with a real-composition test.
Address review feedback on PR #1738:
- ReactLoopAgent builds its AgentEventDispatch once in the constructor and
routes every emit/serial/waterfall through it, so hot-path dispatches no
longer allocate a carrier and dispatcher per call; the public carrier
field is gone (fused dispatcher is private).
- agentEvents accepts an optional prebuilt carrier.
- The fused payload builder spreads the payload before the injected agent
so a structurally acceptable payload carrying an agent field can never
override the subject.
- Regenerate doc graphs; re-record core + architecture + affected Agent
Note translation pairs; add payload-object event contract Agent Note.
All agent/* and agent-loop/config-start-failed events take one payload
object carrying the agent subject; waterfall/serial payloads require a
signal and keep next as the final argument. PreStepContext and
RequestFailureContext are unfolded into payloads and retired.
goal/changed follows the same shape so agentEvents keeps its listener
error containment. ReactLoopAgent builds its scope carrier once in the
constructor. Regenerates scope resolvers, tool-cordis api catalog, and
docs catalogs; updates all affected listeners, tests, and the
core-data-structures docs (en + zh).
"Two emitted positions" was followed by an enumeration counting
occurrences — the field twice, the class statement once — so the two
halves of the sentence disagreed. The sentence now states what needs the
tables without a count.
The file's convention is a \uXXXX escape for a character with no visible
width (\u0301, \u1100, \u1161, \ud800 are all written that way) and a
literal only for a visible one; the new case wrote nine raw ZWNJ.
The comment also named only the field as needing 15.1 tables. Two emitted
code positions do: the bare field, once in each class, and the
Tool\u200CbArgs class name. The subscript comment is not one.
The docstring names ZWNJ/ZWJ as a skew instance but nothing checked the
predicate's tail-position accept branch; this is its first test, and it
also covers camelCase's Tool-prefix branch for a head that is
XID_Continue but not XID_Start.
The equivalence sentence pinned its evidence to Node 22.23.1 against
CPython 3.9.6 without saying the samples sit inside those two versions'
shared tables, next to five named characters where that same pair
diverges.
The 'adding a language is two table entries plus its renderer' checklist
predates the `CodeSdkLanguage` union and now contradicts the mechanism
sentence beside it: following it literally leaves the union untouched, which
is exactly the excess-property error that sentence promises. It is three
parallel edits, in the note's Decision and Consequences and in the
`SDK_RENDERERS` JSDoc.
Two guard descriptions still claimed work the compiler took over. The
Decision's 'the drift this guards against' now names the `satisfies` pins and
leaves the guards their reachable case, a mounted runtime reporting a language
neither table knows; `resolveFlavor`'s JSDoc drops 'keeps the table coupled to
SDK_RENDERERS' for the same reason. The Consequences said a half-added
language 'cannot arise' for the runtime guards — it can, one PR later at the
consumer's integration point, and never on this base; the claim is now about
timing rather than impossibility.
`SDK_RENDERERS` and `RUN_CODE_FLAVORS` had to stay in step by review alone:
the `Object.hasOwn` guards catch drift only once a runtime reporting the
half-added language exists, which is the one case that cannot arise. Both
tables are now `satisfies`-checked against a shared `CodeSdkLanguage` union,
so a missing or extra entry fails `typecheck`. The declared `Record<string, …>`
type stays, since `CodeRuntime.language` is an unconstrained `string`.
The code-runtime seam's own README row and `CodeRuntime.language` JSDoc still
named `'typescript'` as the sole well-known value; both now name `'python'`
too and say only `'typescript'` has a published backend.
`keeps a non-ASCII field name…` asserted that Code Mode omits the native
schemas so nothing else carries a dropped field's name, requiredness, and
type. That holds under `mode: 'code'` only; under `both` the native schemas
ship alongside the SDK, as the module header says. Earlier rounds swept
`py-types.ts` for this family and qualified five sites there; the spec was
never in scope, so this is the family's last unqualified member rather than
residue from those fixes.
The previous commit's `UNPRINTABLE` sentence said the raw-reach point for all
three characters is `pyScalar`'s `JSON.stringify`, and the test comment said
that route is the only one. Both are exclusive claims and both are false: the
subscript tool-name comment calls `JSON.stringify` itself, and a tool name
carrying NEL, LS, or PS always lands there, none of the three being
`XID_Continue`. `pyScalar`'s own docstring already recorded that inheritance,
so the file contradicted itself. Both sentences now name the two call sites.
The note's evaluation axis was introduced as "the `typing` names the block
spells", which excludes one of its own members (`A | B` is operator syntax)
and omitted PEP 585 builtin generics — `dict[str, Any]` and `list[…]` appear
in nearly every render and need 3.9. The axis is now "the names and syntax the
block would evaluate at definition time", enumerated 3.8 through 3.11.
The test title covered two of the three characters it asserts; NEL is NEXT
LINE, neither a line nor a paragraph separator.
