A TUI run against an unreachable endpoint failed with only 'fetch failed':
undici wraps transport failures in a bare TypeError whose diagnosis lives
on .cause, and every diagnostic seam rendered only error.message. The
readline front door additionally rendered failed turns as pure silence.
- dsh-llm: new errorChain(value) renders the full cause chain and
AggregateError members with circular/hostile-coercion containment.
- llm-deepseek: pre-response transport failures throw LlmError('NETWORK')
naming the endpoint and chaining the fetch TypeError; aborts keep their
DOMException so the loop still classifies them as cancellation.
- agent-loop: durable turn/end error messages and logger warnings render
through errorChain; local renderThrown copies removed.
- ui-stdio: failure turn/end reasons now render ([turn failed <code>],
[turn aborted], [turn rejected], output-token-limit); startup-failure
logs use errorChain.
- ui-tui: agent/error notices and the startup-failure line use errorChain.
- fs-sandbox: delegate the mutation with the freshly re-canonicalized target
(not the stale one), so the checked identity is the mutated identity — a
symlink swapped in after resolve() can no longer escape workspace-write.
- tool-fs: map a denial to an FsError carrying FS_SANDBOX_DENIED (not a plain
Error), so ToolRegistry keeps the structured code on result.error for
retry/observers while the message stays the shared marker.
- sandbox-local: derive the Seatbelt writable set from the shared
writableRoots() helper, so the profile and the fs fence cannot drift.
- gen-doc-graphs: ctx.sandboxPolicy is owned by dsh-sandbox-policy and read only
by the sandboxed executor/provider (the tool layers use the pure fold).
- docs: bash-sandbox/bash/permission READMEs and bash.md reflect the relocated
policy home and the sandbox/mode rename; drop the stale stdout.golden.jsonl.

The two transcript tests that assert footer token counters inherited
process.cwd() as the session cwd. In a checkout deep enough that the
footer label exceeds the 88-column fake terminal, the counters never
render and the assertions fail. Pin those tests to a short fixed cwd;
cwd rendering keeps its dedicated variants test.
Retarget the pruning feature onto the merged compaction foundation.
Adapt content-only tool-result rewrite validation to the session-owned surface manager, migrate the demo wiring to repl-agent, and refresh generated type, catalog, and website contracts while preserving pressure and overflow pruning behavior.
The existing /opt footer case reaches the ordinary outside-home return on POSIX, but Windows resolves it on the checkout drive while the user profile is on another drive. That exercises the cross-drive guard instead and leaves the same-volume fallback uncovered in Windows coverage.
Add the resolved parent of the home directory as a platform-neutral outside-home path. The case now covers the fallback on every host while retaining /opt to exercise the Windows cross-drive path, restoring per-file branch, statement, and line coverage without platform-specific expectations.
Treat an absolute path.relative() result as a cross-volume path instead of incorrectly abbreviating it beneath the user's home directory.
Allow embeddings to project a logical footer cwd without changing the operational session cwd. The recorded-session harness now uses a POSIX-shaped display alias for both the footer and filesystem result paths, preserving the existing pre-normalization layout width on every host.
Keep runtime-provided labels behind terminal-control escaping, cover that boundary, and document the embedding contract.
Name the runnable leaf for the line-oriented front door it owns, matching the existing tui-agent and acp-agent organization. Move the complete config, Code Mode overlay, tests, metadata, and generated composition graph together, then update every loader path and repository reference.
Keep the shared model identity independent of its terminal front door by phrasing the persona as a coding-agent role rather than retaining the retired leaf name. Regenerate graph and tool catalogs and re-record each affected bilingual pair so derived documentation cannot point at the removed path.
Remove the animated, dark, and light terminal captures and their bilingual RFC section. The implemented RFC retains the durable front-door decision and verification contract without carrying binary demo artifacts that need visual maintenance.
Tighten the package README ownership wording and refresh the bilingual consistency record so no repository link or prose claim refers to the removed files.
Record the July 17 package split as an implemented bilingual feature RFC. The decision explains why TUI and stdio have separate terminal contracts, why concrete front-door selection belongs to composition, and how the TUI preserves existing session, tool-presentation, and lifecycle ownership.
Link the deterministic dark, light, and animated demos from the RFC so the assets have an in-repository owner. Cross-link the feature and testing decisions from the package README, then regenerate the RFC index and bilingual consistency record.
