llm.discoverModels was reachable from any declared trusted host. The
method takes a caller-supplied baseURL and makes the host issue a GET to
it, then reports the status or the parsed body — so on a LAN deployment
an anonymous caller had a probe for whatever the host can reach and the
browser cannot, plus a path that carries a draft credential. The
PRIVILEGED_METHODS doc already states the rule this broke: trustedHosts
is a DNS-rebinding fence, not authentication, so the configuration plane
stays loopback-same-origin. It is in that set now, asserted both against
the hand-built fence and over real HTTP beside the catalog reads that
deliberately stay reachable.
supportsDiscovery and listModelDiscoveryNamespaces are gone. The field
was required on the wire and read by nobody: its own contract said a
surface should offer the action "instead of naming an adapter family it
would have to hardcode", while the surface hardcodes llm-pi-ai in two
places and gates the button on whether there is anything to probe. Its
shape did not fit the second caller either — the create card has no row
to read a per-row field from. Keeping a required field alive for a
consumer that may never arrive costs every producer and fixture a value
nobody consults, which is exactly how the fixtures drifted. The registry
that fed it had no other production consumer, so registration and
disposal are now observed through the offer itself.
The Agent Note claimed the key is never logged, which the wire schema
beside it already contradicts, and predated both the provider field and
the catalog-answer path. The two new public types pointed at core.md
without a type-equiv block or manifest entry, so the generated service
catalog named documentation that did not exist.
Two lifecycle holes the registry and the consumer helper left open.
`AdapterRegistrationHandle.replace` had no liveness guard: after the handle's
disposer ran, a replace put routes back into the registry with nothing left to
release them, so the adapter leaked permanently. `owned` being empty cannot
carry that fact, because `replace([])` is the legal empty-section state, so the
disposer records it explicitly.
`installSettingsSection`'s watcher lacked the guard its own disposer carries:
a stored change landing while the consumer unloads reached `onChange`, which
re-registers routes against a fiber whose resources are being released.
Also documents `withFileLock` in the atomic-write README (it claimed one
export), records the age-based lock takeover as a known limitation, and lists
ctx.settings and ctx.credentials in the architecture capability table.
Both provider READMEs state what actually holds: credentials-local now
documents the physical-line editor, the read-modify-write under the
writer lock, and a Security boundary section saying plainly that the file
mode stops other OS users and not the model. sandbox-policy documents
readDenyPaths and its per-backend enforcement. The llm READMEs carry the
registration handle, pi-ai's credential-miss semantics, and DeepSeek's
same-generation snapshot; app-boot and the CLI README stop describing
$DSH_HOME/.env as an environment layer.
A new Agent Note records the round (and the prior seam note cross-links
it); the sandbox and core catalog pages gain readDenyPaths and
AdapterRegistrationHandle with their manifest entries. The headless
missing-credential snapshot re-records for the reworded guidance, pi-ai
gains the Loader-composition guard its twin already had, and the
deliberate provider symmetry is marked for the clone detector.
New credentials data-structure page (type-equiv manifested), group README,
rewritten llm-deepseek/llm-pi-ai READMEs (dynamic configuration, dict
profiles, credential chain), capability-seams/service-role registration,
Agent Note (bilingual), demo compositions mounting settings-local +
credentials-local with no inline key plumbing, installSettingsSection
consumer helper on the settings seam (deduplicating both adapters' wiring),
jscpd symmetry markers for the provider twins, runtime-closure additions for
python/sdk-runtime, and doc-budget ceilings AGENTS.md 1750→1755 /
packages/README.md 850→865 for the structural one-line group rows.
Conflicts were the parallel-edit set: packages/README group table (kept
master's session-title wording, re-added the settings row condensed),
doc-budgets AGENTS.md ceiling (took master's 1750), and regenerated
graph/catalog docs plus re-recorded translation pairs. packages/README.md
ceiling 845 -> 850: the table legitimately gained one row for the new
settings group and the row is already minimal.
Confirmed and fixed, each with a regression test that failed first:
- Concurrent writes to different namespaces lost whole sections on disk
(each persist rendered the full document from a stale text): the local
provider serializes render->write->rename->text-commit on one internal
persist chain shared by every namespace queue.
- One throwing settings/updated listener starved the rest (cordis emit
stops at the first throw): commit fans out per listener via
events.dispatch, contains individual failures, and rethrows the first
INVARIANT-coded error only after every listener ran.
- Write queues ignored fiber/service lifecycle: the base init now
registers a teardown that refuses new writes and drains queued chains;
queued tasks re-verify service liveness and namespace ownership before
running and again before committing, so a registrant disposed
mid-flight is never notified and a disposed service never commits.
- Async watcher invocations could interleave (a slow stale call applied
last): each watcher carries a serialized invocation chain — one call
at a time, in commit order; JSDoc/doc pages state the async timing.
- update/replace borrowed the caller's object until the queued task ran:
inputs are structured-clone snapshotted at call time; non-cloneable
plain objects reject with a typed error.
- Composition guard now proves the documented fallback: the consumer
uses the optional scoped-inject shape and boots both with the settings
entry (hot publish) and without it (entry-config resolution, no scope).
- core-data-structures index: settings.md row added to the sub-page
table in core.md/core.zh.md.
Both packages hold per-file 100% coverage across repeated runs.
The public classifier existed to defend an exported reader against
arbitrary signals, but its only production caller is the loop reading
its own machine-private turn signal, where cancel() is the sole aborter
and always writes one frozen canonical cause. Delete the export and its
15-line structural validation: settle() states the slot invariant with
one cast, the boolean call sites ask signal.aborted directly, and the
retry veto drops entirely because a requested window already implies a
live signal (cancel() retires the window before aborting).
The abort(reason) channel and first-wins semantics are unchanged; only
the reader's publicness is gone, and with it the paranoia it required.
Review feedback (tianyicui): 'process' is a poor service name. The family is
now packages/subprocess/ — @deepseek-ai/dsh-subprocess (ctx.subprocess,
abstract SubprocessService, Subprocess* vocabulary) and
@deepseek-ai/dsh-subprocess-local (LocalSubprocessService) — renamed
throughout code, compositions, docs (en+zh, pairs re-recorded), catalogs,
and gates. 'subprocess' is the precise term for managed OS children (the
Python-stdlib sense), avoids colliding with Node's global process object,
and reads as one system beside dsh-subagent-subprocess.
ds-review-bot findings addressed:
- kill() on a settled handle is now a no-op (no signal to a possibly-reused
pgid, no referenced grace timer delaying exit); pinned by a spy test.
- The moved DshEnvironmentKey/DshEnvironment/CollectedOutput types get
drift-checked type-equiv blocks on the new subprocess.md page, restoring
their manifest registration.
