fix(web): keep one composer bar DOM across the no-workspace transition
The composer.bar slot moves from session to session-maybe scope: with no
current session the entry still mounts, the machine faces (keyboard, stop,
command) arrive undefined, and the bar renders its normal DOM inert via the
disabled owner prop. DisabledInputBar and its parallel tree are gone, so the
textarea node survives the cold-start workspace pick instead of flashing
through a remount. A blank session whose workspace was deleted takes the
same inert path through owner props.
test(web): add the composer DOM-continuity acceptance probe
Drives a real dsh web server with headless chromium through the cold-start
-> pick-workspace -> type flow and asserts the composer textarea is the
same DOM node throughout (a marker property must survive). Rerun
prerequisites are in the header comment.
docs(web): session-maybe identity is adoption, not hold-forever
fix(web): session-maybe entries adopt the first session, then remount like strict entries
A session-maybe entry used to keep one React instance across every
transition, so component-local state leaked between sessions once the
composer bar moved to that scope (PermissionSelect's optimistic pick, the
IME composition guard). Identity is now adoption: an incarnation born
session-less holds through the arrival of the first session (the blank
shell's DOM survives the workspace pick), and afterwards behaves exactly
like a strict session entry — a switch or a drop to no-session remounts,
clearing local state by construction. The child key is an incarnation
counter kept in the stable outlet wrapper via render-phase setState.
chore: knip knows the root acceptance probe's playwright dependency
scripts/hero-composer-dom-continuity.mjs resolves playwright through
apps/web's devDependency tree (createRequire), which knip cannot follow;
ignore it at the root workspace.
The Models page drops the generic schema renderer and the visible
environment-variable field: each editor is a curated per-family card whose
primary input is one write-only API key stored under a derived
<ROUTE>_API_KEY reference (recorded as apiKeyEnv in the pi-ai profile), an
unkeyed whole-section provider opens as its setup card, and the collapsed
customized-settings fold carries baseURL/reasoningEffort (deepseek) or
reasoning (pi-ai). dsh-client-schema-form reduces to the schema/draft model
layer (no React).
The seat's height publisher needs a ResizeObserver stub in every spec that
renders ConversationRoot (jsdom has none), and the two branch-tail StatsLine
assertions move to the grouped detail-row output.
Stats line moves into the InputBar's new footer slot (sharing the card's
width column) and expands to the design's grouped detail row: turns/steps,
LLM and tool wall time, cache hit, and input/output token split, all
derived client-side from the snapshot. The composer stack owns one 8px
rhythm, the seat fades the transcript through a fixed 36px gradient band,
back-to-bottom follows a live --dsh-composer-height, and goal/todo strips
share one 752px tip-fill column.
The merge gives dsh-client-test-runtime the wire-layer edge its sessions
double needs for the session.search result bound; the generated graph records
it. The double's search signature now reads off ISessions instead of naming
RpcResult, so it cannot drift from the contract it implements and needs no
connection-package edge.
Conflict resolutions:
- `session.list`: master's projection columns fold into the PR's cancellable,
batched `listVisibleSessionSummaries`, which `session.search` shares as its
visibility baseline; master's goal helpers stay beside it.
- Client sessions face: master narrowed `ctx.sessions` to `ISessions`, so the
search verb and its protocol-constant bound are declared there and the
test-runtime double implements them (recorded, empty page unless a scenario
stubs hits).
- `WorkspaceBrowser`: master's per-row Rename wiring rides the PR's search
results view; the tree keeps the PR's query-free derivations.
- `dsh web` bin: the PR's shutdown-handlers-before-readiness order with
master's boot-time LAN address snapshot.
- `session-query-sqlite`: master's `SCHEMA_VERSION` 7 stands; the PR's bump
carried no schema change.
- Specs: master wraps assistant/steering message payloads and requires an
`application/json` carrier request, so the search fixtures and tests follow.
- Web aria goldens keep master's recording plus the PR's search placeholder;
the navigation-panes inventory keeps master's terminal-card golden next to
the PR's search-results golden.
apps/cli/cordis.yml gains settings-local, credentials-local, and the bare
dormant llm-pi-ai row (manifest deps added for the resolver contract);
llm-deepseek drops its !!js apiKey inline for per-request credential
resolution. Both adapters tag apiKeyEnv role('credential-ref') so the
form mounts the credential control. The web e2e scaffold isolates a
harness home per run — an in-process boot must never touch the
developer's real ~/.dsh — and the new models-settings scenario pins the
whole loop through the shipped app: dormant directory as add vocabulary,
schema-driven editor apply landing in settings.yaml, the route
registering live (topology frame), and a write-only key landing in the
temp .env with the configured badge converging. A hermetic test-owned
reference name keeps a developer's real provider keys from flipping the
badge. schema-form joins the platform module table (seed + externals)
so client bundles share one instance.
