Address review: the gate module docstring now states the actual evaluation
contexts (config after injections against the plugin context, disabled at
every mount decision against the loader context); metadataExpressionErrors
rejects expressions nested below disabled and syntax-checks the disabled
expression itself so an unparseable gate fails at the gate instead of the
boot. The tutorial's !!js claims follow, and the loader note moves to
implemented/architecture with its inbound links retargeted.
The client-hmr row joins the web bundle as an ordinary always-on roster
row: without a rebuild watcher rewriting client bundles it polls
unchanged files and stays idle. This deletes the --dev flag, the web
runtime's mode config, the mode-forked prompt contract, the DSH_WEB_MODE
bash variable, and the post-settlement row-creation machinery the
conditional row required. dsh web + pnpm run dev:web remains the
development loop.
The web runtime creates its dev-mode client-hmr row in the root tree
after Loader settlement with plain loader.create, deleting the vendored
Entry.enableRuntime state machine and dsh-cmdline's enableRow export.
Include declares the existing EntryGroup.key tree-carrier marker instead
of the EntryConfigResolver protocol (its own path stays literal; nothing
used a dynamic path). The launcher recognizes no app row: SIGTERM exits
0 on every surface, every boot watches its user patch layers, and the
headless runner exits through ctx.appExit, deleting ctx.headlessIo. Also
restores the vendor README rescope entry to the position the
rescope-vendor exact-edit anchor requires, fixing the master hygiene
regression.
Entry \disabled\ interpolation makes the launcher's separate platform layer
unnecessary: the base bundle's cordis.patch.yml now gates both shell stacks
on its own rows — bash-sandbox/tool-bash disable on win32, and their twins
pwsh-sandbox/tool-pwsh mount only there with the inverted expression — so
exactly one shell stack mounts per host from one shared patch file.
windows.cordis.patch.yml and the launcher's windows-shell.ts injection (boot,
live recomposition, config dumps) are deleted, with the workspace-constraints
entry and the dsh-base exports/files entries following. The windows-shell spec
pins the effective per-platform roster through the real bundle layers, and
base.spec pins the four symmetric gates. The superseded active notes are
updated and cross-linked; the loader note records the fold itself.
A continuable child that stopped without reporting — an error, a token
ceiling, cancellation, teardown — left its parent nothing to act on.
The continuation manager now delivers an unconditional settlement
notice to the durable direct parent before releasing ownership, folding
consumed work (foldConsumedWork supersedes findLastMessageTurnEnd) so a
claimed-but-unrun prompt reads as aborted rather than completed, waking
an idle parent, steering a busy one, and never waking a closing tree.
A continuable child could finish without giving its parent a usable
result: the report tool was described as optional and its default
delivery stayed quiet. Install the child-scoped report obligation (tool
description plus the tool:report prompt section), default reportDelivery
to wakeup, bind shipped subagent_fork delegations to one-shot so fork
keeps its prefix reuse, and extend the ACP snapshot harness to pin child
system prompts alongside child tool schemas.
The Windows platform layer disables tool-bash and inserts the pwsh stack, but the shipped presets each mount a tool-bash row that re-enabled the tool on win32 — the session had both a PowerShell-backed bash tool and tool-pwsh, silently, because no spec pinned the composed preset layer.
The Loader now evaluates a disabled: !!js expression against the loader context at every mount decision; disabled is the only interpolated metadata field, and the raw node stays in the options so write-back keeps the !!js form. The standard/code/cordis presets gate tool-bash with process.platform === 'win32', verify-cordis-config allows expressions in disabled only, and the windows-shell spec pins the preset-level invariant.
Review round: the JSONL backend now refuses a foreign header version straight
from the raw header line, before validating today's header shape or decoding
any event row, so a structurally different future format reports the upgrade
direction instead of corruption (shared message builder
sessionFormatVersionRefusal). HMR live-prefix adoption runs the unknown-type
guard like the other read paths. The appendCore comment now states why the
unknown-type guard is read-side only, the loadStoredFrom JSDoc and README pin
the seek-vs-sequential refusal-scope divergence, and the generated catalog
preamble lists the ignorable envelope field.
Old runtimes meeting a newer session format now fail loud instead of
misreading: version refusal names the direction (newer: upgrade the
harness; older: no upgrade path) and points at the raw JSONL log, and an
event type outside the generated known vocabulary refuses resume unless
its envelope carries the new ignorable: true marker (default: required,
so a forgotten marker over-refuses instead of silently resuming a gutted
session). gen-persistence-catalog now also emits
KNOWN_SESSION_EVENT_TYPES; SQLite stores the marker in a dedicated
column (SCHEMA_VERSION 15). The versioning design (monotonic integer,
n->n+1 upgrader chain, migrate-on-continue) is recorded in the
session-log-version-mechanism Agent Note.
