getByIndex allocates memory and returns dummy channel whenever chIndex validation fails. Comment implies this may happen when malformed packet is received. The fix changes implementation so static dummyChannel is returned in such case. Co-authored-by: Ben Meadors <benmmeadors@gmail.com>
