imccyu b64c3ac1ba release(dsh): 0.0.1-rc.1 2026-08-11 03:20:36 +08:00
imccyu 2c85c484d3 build(release): reference workspace members through the workspace protocol
1504 hand-written ranges pointing at workspace members become workspace:^, so
pnpm pack substitutes each member's real version at publication: sibling
peerDependencies follow the family version instead of being pinned at ^0.0.1,
and a reference to a vendored package follows that package's own line. Without
this, publishing 0.0.2 ships peer ranges naming a version that does not exist,
and 0.0.1-rc.1 does not satisfy ^0.0.1 either.

It also retires ranges that had gone stale against the workspace: ^4.0.0-rc.6
for a 4.0.0-rc.7 checkout, ^3.17.0 for schemastery 3.18.0.

workspace:* stays where an exact published version is the point, which is how
the Landlock entry pins its platform packages.

A workspace constraint now requires the protocol, so a new package cannot
reintroduce a hand-written range. The same constraint caught packages/boot/cmdline
arriving on master without the publishable trio, which this change completes.

imccyu 97eb14a007 build(release): make the release set publishable under the private scope
Every package under packages/, apps/, and vendor/ drops "private": true and
declares publishConfig.access "restricted": the repository now states which
packages it publishes instead of deciding it at publish time. Each one also
declares its repository and directory, which is how a consumer of a private
package reaches its source.

The Landlock packages move to restricted with them. They have never been
published, so nothing anonymous depends on them today, and the whole
@deepseek-ai scope stays private.

The workspace constraint that required every package to be private now applies
to non-members only, and asserts the publishable trio on each release member.

imccyu ec601ca13d build(vendor): rescope the vendored Cordis packages into @deepseek-ai
Machine-produced by `pnpm run rescope-vendor --apply` plus the regeneration it
prints: `pnpm install` for the lockfile, `pnpm run gen-third-party-notices`,
`verify-translation-pairing --write` for the touched bilingual pairs,
`gen-doc-graphs`, and one typert snapshot whose ids embed character offsets.
`pnpm run rescope-vendor --check` verifies the result.

Renames nine vendored packages (cordis, cosmokit, schemastery and the six
@cordisjs plugins) and every reference that resolves them: manifest names and
dependency keys, module specifiers including declare-module merges, cordis.yml
plugin names, tsconfig paths, every Markdown fence, and `docs/` prose.
Directory names, upstream versions, and dependency ranges are unchanged, so
vendor/README.md still reads as an upstream snapshot; its manifest table gains
an upstream-name column so THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES keeps MIT attribution pointed
at each fork's origin.

The tutorial tier follows the rename end to end: its yaml fences named plugins
the Loader can no longer resolve, its `ts ignore-check` fences disagreed with
the compiled fences beside them, and its prose quoted both. The contracts that
told readers to keep upstream names — the root convention and the vendoring
cookbook's tree comment and manifest invariant — now say to rescope instead.

Two rules read `@deepseek-ai/` as "another workspace plugin": the client bundle
purity gate now names the vendored libraries a browser bundle inlines, and the
files where a bare `cordis` is an agent-preset id keep that product data.

Yichen Jiang 59e759ce13 fix(tasks-local): layer control surfaces and listeners by registering scope
One host registry serves every composition in the process, so its two
service-wide collections answered per-owner questions process-wide. `start()`
asked only whether SOME surface was attached, so an agent whose own composition
loads no `tool-tasks` could start work it has no tool to collect or stop as soon
as any other preset attached one — and the answer changed depending on which
sessions happened to be open. `settle()` walked every registered listener, so a
task settling without a waiter injected one completion notice per mounted
preset into the same owner.

Both collections now sit in `ScopedLayers`, the layered-registry primitive
`tools` and `skills` already use: a registration files into its registering
context's scope, and a read unions the global layer with the owner's scope
chain. A surface or listener registered from an unscoped context lands in the
global layer and serves every owner, which is exactly the host-plane
composition's own controls, so the TUI path is unchanged without a special
case.

This supersedes the consumer-side filter in the previous commit. That filter
produced the right notices but sat in the wrong layer: it left the `start()`
gate process-wide, it could not be enforced against a producer that resolves
the registry directly, and it made a Consumer carry scope knowledge that the
other layered registries keep in the registry. `tool-tasks` is scope-agnostic
again and the `dsh-scope` edge moves to `tasks-local`.

`start()`'s refusal is now owner-relative, so its model-visible text names the
agent rather than the process. The shipped `minimal` preset keeps
`enableRunInBackground: false`, no longer as the safety boundary — the registry
owns that now — but so an agent that could never collect a task is not offered
the parameter at all.

Yichen Jiang 15d452d7ea fix(tasks): correct the change-feed contract and its documentation
Review found the `onTasksChanged` teardown reasoning inverted. The comment
claimed every registration is an effect on the registry's own fiber, so
listeners would be gone before service disposal empties the store — but the
traceable proxy rebinds `this.ctx` to the CALLER, which this package's own
HMR-safety test already proves. The only shipped consumer registers from the
api-proxy mux stream, so it was still listening and simply kept the rows it
last received. Service disposal now announces the emptied set, and teardown
announces its stopping transition immediately instead of leaving an observer
on `running` for however long a slow producer takes to release.

Two documentation claims were false in the opposite direction: the Agent Note
and the ui-task README both said an unowned task is invisible in the header,
while `list(caller)` returns unowned tasks to every caller, the carrier fans
their changes out to every subscribed session, and this PR's own test asserts
exactly that. The note even contradicted itself two sections earlier. Both
sides now state the real asymmetries — another session's tasks, and the
process-local registry emptying on restart.

The "no Web path calls the consuming `ctx.tasks.read()`" invariant claimed a
test that did not exist; the carrier suite's producer had no `readOutput` at
all, so a stray read would have failed nothing. Its producer now counts cursor
consumption and the lifecycle and baseline paths both assert zero.

Also: a session created after the mux opened now receives the task baseline it
missed, the popover samples its clock when it opens rather than at mount, and
a failed task's unbounded producer detail elides instead of widening the row.

Tianyi Cui 25dcd7293c docs: purge chain-of-thought leakage from prose
Delete design-session citations (decision/audit/plan ordinals, stack
positions), change narration, review choreography, and reviewer-addressed
justification from comments, JSDoc, docs, READMEs, Agent Notes, tests, and
generator templates; restate every affected fact as current-state contract
prose. Fix generated docs at their sources and regenerate the catalogs and
cordis-surface regions; re-paste type-equiv blocks; update every bilingual
counterpart and re-record the pairs. Record the citation rule in the
committed-artifact-citations Agent Note.

Tianyi Cui ba3125234a docs: rename core-data-structures/ to subsystems/
The folder is becoming the home of one-doc-per-subsystem pages (intro +
data structures + cordis services/events), so the name must describe the
whole contract, not just the type-vocabulary third of it. Mechanical
rename rebuilt on current master: every inbound Markdown link, generator
constant, website route, type-equiv manifest path, and spec expectation
moves together; the zh sides of the notes whose prose names the folder
are aligned (子系统) in the same change; touched bilingual pairs
re-recorded; translation-prompt snapshot re-recorded (its example embeds
development.md). Historical Agent Note slugs keep their dated
filenames.

Yichen Jiang eab0aeb9db feat(web): list background tasks in the session header
The task registry has run every background bash, pwsh, pty-send, and
one-shot subagent since it landed, but only the model could read it: a
human at the Web client could not see that a build was running, tell a
finished task from a stuck one, or find its outcome anywhere but the
`run_in_background` tool card that printed an id and never updated.

Task state now reaches the browser as one whole-snapshot `session/tasks`
mux frame per session, pushed at every registry commit that changes what
that session can see. `TaskService` gains `onTasksChanged`, which is
owner-granular because owner-disposal removal is a change no per-task
record can express. The carrier reads the exact owner the listener hands
it, so a push stays correct while that scope tears down, and reads the
baseline through the non-resuming `ctx.agents.get` so listing never
revives a cold session. The client keeps a last-wins mirror on
`SessionListState`, and a new `dsh-client-ui-task` package renders it
beside the subagent catalog — rendering nothing at all until the session
has a task, so an ordinary conversation grows no new chrome.

Streamed per-task output and human-initiated cancellation are separate
phases; the note records why neither has to undo this channel, and why
no Web path may call the consuming `ctx.tasks.read()`.

Tianyi Cui 3b91135923 fix(tasks): fail loud when the abstract seam is mounted directly
Review finding (Codex round 1): abstract erases at runtime and
@deepseek-ai/dsh-tasks used to be the mountable registry, so a stale
composition row would register a ctx.tasks with no method implementations
and fail far from the misconfiguration. The seam constructor now rejects
direct mounts with a load-time pointer at dsh-tasks-local; the seam suite
pins the fence, the Agent Note cost paragraph records the actual behavior,
and the stale tool-pty README requirement line names the implementation
package.
2026-07-26 07:25:47 +08:00
Tianyi Cui 698b391bd6 refactor(tasks): split the task registry into seam and local implementation
The tasks/ family now matches the capability-seam shape: @deepseek-ai/dsh-tasks
keeps the abstract TaskService (ctx.tasks contract, vocabulary types, snapshot
invariant companion) and the new @deepseek-ai/dsh-tasks-local carries the
process-local registry (LocalTaskService: in-memory store, settlement,
owner-cleanup effects, teardown, TASK_WAIT_TIMEOUT). Compositions and test
harnesses now load dsh-tasks-local; producers, TaskKindMap merges, and
dsh-tool-tasks keep importing the seam only.

Producer misconfiguration diagnostics name dsh-tasks-local because loading the
implementation is the fix. The registry behavior suite moves to tasks-local;
the seam keeps a stub-subclass registration test and the probe-based invariant
suite.

Tianyi Cui b06ae91fa8 fix(tasks): address task API review feedback
The public kill result used the awkward phrase already-terminal. Rename it to already-finished and keep the model-facing response aligned; not-alive would be inaccurate because a force-failed registry record can still correspond to orphaned producer work.

Task kinds were open strings even though producer namespaces are an extension point. Add the merge-extensible TaskKindMap and derived TaskKind, cover consumer declarations in task and bundle tests, and retain the runtime non-empty check for untyped callers.

With exactOptionalPropertyTypes, owner?: Agent | undefined allowed an explicit undefined value that no caller needs. Tighten the property to owner?: Agent so unowned work is expressed by omitting it.

Record the requested task-service/backend split as a follow-up, using a systemd-backed runtime as a concrete candidate without guessing its durability and ownership contract in this PR. Regenerate the type and Cordis catalogs so public docs match the declarations.

Tianyi Cui 8bb8ac8b3c docs(tasks): condense background task prose
The background-task change repeated its lifecycle design across implemented RFCs, package READMEs, JSDoc, test commentary, and model-visible schemas. That repetition obscured the contracts that maintainers must preserve and added avoidable prompt tokens.

Rewrite the implemented RFCs around the current design, keep authorization, exact-owner cleanup, wait/abort ordering, producer quiescence, and teardown-failure guarantees at their owning surfaces, and remove peer surveys, review history, control-flow narration, and emphatic restatement.

Shorten the task and subagent schema wording, synchronize the bilingual tool cookbook, and regenerate the config, service, RFC, tool, and replay snapshot derivatives. Runtime behavior is unchanged; test edits update prose-only assertions and descriptions.

Tianyi Cui d462348556 fix(tasks): contain async completion listeners
TaskService contained synchronous listener throws but discarded returned promises. An async TaskDoneListener could therefore reject as an unhandled process rejection even though the API promises per-listener containment.

Allow listeners to return PromiseLike<void> and attach a rejection handler to each result without awaiting it. This logs asynchronous failures independently while preserving the observation-only contract: later listeners, task waiters, and teardown are not delayed. Add a regression test and synchronize the public docs and generated API declaration.
2026-07-15 11:40:47 +08:00
Tianyi Cui 1a69a3debe fix(tasks): bind cleanup and notices to exact owners
Task records previously retained only ownerSession. If an old agent scope unwound after another agent reused the same agent and session ids, cleanup selected both records and could cancel replacement work. The completion surface also re-resolved the session at settlement, which could inject an old task notice into the replacement agent.

Retain the exact Agent instance for lifecycle work, select owner cleanup by object identity, and pass that exact owner to completion listeners. Keep read, list, kill, and wait authorization session-based as the runtime RFC intends. Add regressions for cleanup and notice routing under id reuse, then update the public docs and generated API catalogs.

Yichen Jiang 43d60286e3 fix(tasks): an aborted wait must not leave a settled task notice-suppressed (review finding)
Two windows where settle() could read a live waiter count, mark the
task reported (suppressing the completion notice), and then watch that
waiter reject with 'wait aborted' delivering nothing — leaving the
owning session with no terminal notification at all:

- abort and settlement in the same tick, settle continuation ordered
first: the waiter now un-counts itself SYNCHRONOUSLY inside onAbort
(the finally decrement alone lands a microtask too late), so the
  settle path sees no live waiter and the notice fires;
- abort landing after settlement but before the wait's resolve
microtask: the wait now resolves and DELIVERS the terminal snapshot
it owes instead of rejecting (settlement suppressed the notice on
  this waiter's behalf).

Both windows pinned by deterministic tests that fail on the previous
implementation; wait()'s abort contract updated in JSDoc/README/RFC.
