Review round: the no-caption rule the Agent Note states applied only to the
success texts, leaving `permission · unknown permission preset "bogus" (…)`.
The error text now reads `unknown preset "bogus" (…)` and its exact wording
is pinned; the fixture mirror drops `JSON.stringify` for the host's own
quoting so the two cannot drift on a quoted argument.
The Note now states the line it draws: the rule bans a caption for the
command's own value, not the vocabulary, so `/plan`'s `Plan mode off.` and
`/goal`'s `Goal cleared.` conform as written — recorded with the broader
name-ban as a rejected alternative. The web row assertions are scoped to the
row so unrelated page text reading `permission` cannot satisfy them.
The approval panel replaces the InputBar while a sandbox escalation waits,
and its justification and command are unbounded model text. With no height
cap, a long command grew the card until the refuse/allow row went under the
fold: at 900x700 the action row's bottom landed at y=749, so the user could
read the request and not answer it.
Justification and command now scroll in one region capped at the same height
as the composer's draft area, with the amber strip and the action row outside
it. The cap is one value with two consumers — declared as
--dsh-composer-text-max-height on ConversationRoot's .composerSeat, the
composer chain's only shared ancestor — so the seat cannot cap its two states
differently. The card rebinds the l2 scrollbar pair like every other scrolling
surface on an elevated background.
Covered by a new web e2e scenario that drives the real composition (read-only
session, denied write, the model's escalation retry, answer clicked through
the panel) and measures the live panel at two viewport heights against the
composer's own cap, read off the textarea rather than hardcoded.
The web command row renders `title · summary` from one logged command
lifecycle pair, and the two halves were written without knowing about each
other: the title was the dispatched line rebuilt from `command/run` and the
summary was `command/done`'s verbatim text, so every Access-chip pick read
`/permission workspace-write · Permission preset: workspace-write.` — the
command name twice and its argument twice.
The title is now the bare command name (no `/`, no arguments — the summary
already says what the command did), and a command handler's settlement text
never repeats the command's own name, so `/permission` returns `preset
workspace-write`. The row reads `permission · preset workspace-write`, and
the TUI notice still names the preset that now applies. The log is
unchanged: `command/run` keeps its structured name/args split for a richer
registered row.
The workspace header row is now wrapped by its HoverCard anchor span
(0b4a6196f), so the row's immediate parent no longer holds the session
subtree; the delete scenario anchors on the groupSection ancestor
instead. The flat-view and dwell failures were downstream of this one
(shared page state).
The master-side refresh batch recorded these goldens against master's
composer (customTrigger row, header pager); the merge keeps this
branch's redesigned composer (always-visible custom input, footer
pager) with copy on the standard locale seat, so the waiting aria and
the answered transcript re-record against the merged UI. The answered
golden also picks up the ask_user_question toolview row this branch
introduces.
The English-locale golden refreshed on master (8c753fd8f1) was recorded
against master's pre-miller dialog; this branch's own golden predated the
miller two-pane landing and was never enforced before the web browser
snapshot CI gate landed. Re-recorded against the merged tree: two-pane
landing plus the show-hidden footer toggle.
Reapplies this branch's one added occupancy segment on top of master's own
golden refresh from the preceding merge. Recorded with DSH_SNAPSHOT=refresh,
not hand-edited: an attempt to strip the co-recorded context-injection
affordance out of these files broke replay, which is the suite working as
intended — a golden must match the real render byte-for-byte.
Web replay is now 76/77. The one failure, queue-actions ("edits and removes
exact pending occurrences", counts 2 user/message events where it expects 1),
reproduces at pristine origin/master and is untouched here.
Master independently refreshed the same stale web aria goldens this branch had
absorbed in 08aa0ca54, so every conflict was golden-vs-golden with no source
overlap. Goldens are recorded rather than merged: master's recordings win here,
and the following commit re-records to reapply this branch's one added
occupancy segment on top of them.
The chat stats line took its token totals from the loaded conversation nodes,
so paging changed them and compaction erased the billing behind replaced
content. It also had no way to show context occupancy: the numerator and
capacity never reached the browser.
Both now come from token-meter session projections read through the standard
useProjection seat. Window nodes keep supplying turn and step counts plus LLM
and tool wall times, which are correctly window-scoped facts about what is on
screen; accounting no longer comes from there.
`tokenUsage` supplies billing and cache hit. `contextPressure` supplies
occupancy, pairing the newest provider-reported prompt size with the newest
capacity recorded by `request/context`. Deployments without token-meter drop
the token groups; a route whose adapter advertises no capacity drops the
occupancy group rather than rendering a placeholder.
Occupancy is deliberately approximate: the numerator and capacity are
independent last-wins fields, not one atomic request observation, so switching
models pairs a fresh capacity with the prior route's pressure until the next
request reports usage. It is a user-facing reference figure that nothing in the
harness makes decisions from, and it matches how the TUI status line has always
computed occupancy. The Agent Note and token-meter README state this as a
decision, including why the atomic alternative was implemented and rejected, so
it is not re-litigated as a defect.
Snapshot delta is one added `Context N% of 128K` segment across eight web
goldens; the preceding commit absorbed master's pre-existing golden drift.
